Char dham Yatra Temple Opening/Closing Dates 2024/2025
Observing the spiritual Panchang Calender, the Summer Chardham Yatra beginning date is tentatively planned as 22 April 2025 & closing date for the Chardham yatra in 2025 is 21 November. The Chardham opening dates 2025 are countedbased on the Akshaya Tritiya or Akha Teej. The starting dates are changed asper the Panchang (the Hindu calendar) and the Chardham yatra temple committee. Char dham Yatra in Uttrakhand include four divine locations Yumnotri, Gangotri, Badrinath & kedarnath with the route Via Dehradun (Airport) and by road / train from Delhi, Haridwar, Rishikesh & Dehradun . · Every year the Yamunotri temple opens its gates to the devotees on the day of Akshaya Tritiya which tentatively will be on 22 April, 2025.
· Next in line is the Gangotri temple dedicated to goddess Ganga, which will be open for visitors starting 22 April 2025.
Third Dham be followed by the opening of the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva - the Kedarnath Temple (Halt in Guptkashi), few days later, tentatively by 26 April 2025.
· And finally, the temple of Badrinath will be accessible starting two days later from 09 May 2025.
Closing dates for the Char Dham Yatra are mentioned below:
· Gangotri Temple will closed on the next day of Diwali (13 November 2025). Gangotri Dham opens on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritya each year and closed on the day after Diwali festival.
· The Shrine of Kedarnath and Yamunotri will be closed on the auspicious day of Bhai Dooj falling on 14 November 2025.
· The PIous Dham, which is the Badrinath Dham will be closed for the remaining year from Vijay Dashami marked on 21 November 2025 (Tentative).

Based on Panchang Calender Kedarnath temple gates will open on 26 April 2025 ( Tentative dates) and will be closed onthe auspicious day of Bhai Dooj. Every year the opening date of Kedarnath is declared and decided on the day of Maha Shivratri. The closing date of Kedarnath temple is fixed i.e on Bhai Dooj, the gates of Kedarnath shrine get closed for winters.
In Winter Deity idol and Puja placement is placed at its winter capital.
