Itinerary

Day 1: New Delhi – Welcome & Boarding

• Welcome aboard the Deccan Odyssey.
• Arrival at Safdarjung Railway Station (5:30 PM) for a traditional welcome
• Luxury check-in and escorted to your cabin
• Welcome drinks and tour briefing in the elegant lounge
• Dinner on board as the train departs

Day 2: Ranthambore Safari & Rajasthani Village Tour

• Morning: Visit a traditional Rajasthani village, interact with locals, and experience their culture.
• Afternoon: Wildlife Safari in Ranthambore National Park.
• Spot Royal Bengal Tigers, leopards, deer, and exotic birds
• Travel in open-top Canter safari vehicles
• Enjoy dinner onboard as the train departs for Agra

Day 3: Agra – Taj Mahal & Mughal Heritage

• Morning: Explore Agra Fort, a magnificent UNESCO-listed palace-fort.
• Afternoon: Visit the Taj Mahal, a wonder of the world.
• Marvel at the marble craftsmanship and hear its legendary love story
• Stroll through Agra’s markets for Pietra Dura artifacts

Day 4: Jaipur – The Pink City’s Palaces & Bazaars

• Morning: Visit Amber Fort, home to the famous Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors).
• Photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds)
• Afternoon: Visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar (world’s largest stone observatory)

Day 5: Udaipur – The Romantic City of Lakes

• Morning: Arrive in Udaipur, the most romantic city in India.
• Tour the City Palace and Crystal Gallery
• Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola, passing the Lake Palace
• Afternoon: Exclusive royal lunch at a stunning venu
• Explore Udaipur’s handicrafts and old city charm 
• Evening: Return to the train for dinner

Day 6: Vadodara – Royal Gujarat Experience

• Morning: Visit Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO site.
• Afternoon: Tour the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum Evening: High Tea at Laxmi Vilas Palace, with live cultural performances.

Day 7: Ellora Caves – Ancient Rock-Cut Wonders

Day 8: Mumbai – Farewell & Disembarkation

• Morning arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (8:45 AM)
• Bid farewell to the Deccan Odyssey, taking memories of a lifetime

• Overnight travel onboard train in the comfort of richly furnished private A/C sleeping chambers with ensuite bathrooms.
• Daily three meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) with packaged drinking water, tea/coffee service & non-alcoholic beverages.

• Entrance fees For monuments & jungle reserves.
• Deluxe Cabin Guests: City sightseeing tours are conducted in air-conditioned buses with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).
• Presidential Suite Guests: City sightseeing tours are arranged in private air-conditioned cars with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).

Exclusions (Extra costs not included in train tour tariff)

• Govt. taxes & insurance.
• Optional use of spa facility or laundry services.
• Gratuities – Tips or porter fee.
• Video & professional still camera fees.
• Any activity mentioned as optional in the tour journey.
• Travel/Tour insurance.
• Transfer to & from the railway station on start & end of itinerary.

Booking Terms & Conditions

• The booking will be confirmed on the receipt of 25% advance deposit of published value
• Balance 80% payment must reach us at least 50 days before the departure date with the reservation form.
• In case booking request is made less than 50 days of the departure date, we will require a one-time full advance deposit to confirm booking.
• Prices are subject to vary in the event that the itinerary is altered or if there are additional costs, such as fuel or taxes.
• Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is Jointly OPERATED by Tourism Department of Maharashtra State Govt & The Royal Journeys (A unit of Ebix Cash)
• Liability of Royal Indian Trains is limited to that of booking agent only.

Booking Procedure

• Check Availability: Provide the date of journey and cabin type required.
• Booking Process: Submit passport copies of all passengers.

Payment Terms:

A 25% advance deposit of the published price is required to confirm the booking.

Payment can be made via SWIFT wire transfer or credit card authorization.

The balance payment must be received at least 65 days before departure.

For bookings made less than 65 days before departure date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Cancellation Rules

The Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is operated through a joint collaboration between the Tourism Department of Maharashtra Government and Ebix Cash (Private Tour Operator).

Royal Indian Trains acts solely as a booking agent and holds no operational liability.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by us.

Cancellation Fees

More than 63 days before departure: 10% of the published value (inclusive of taxes).

62 to 48 days before departure: 20% of the published value.

47 to 33 days before departure: 50% of the published value.

Less than 33 days before departure: 100% of the published value (inclusive of taxes).

Special Cancellation & Refund Conditions

If the the Train Tour Operator cancels the scheduled departure for any reason, afull refundwill be provided

No refund will be issued if:

The guest fails to follow the scheduled itinerary or shortens their journey.

The guest is unable to obtain an Indian document.

In case of a fitness emergency, supporting fitness records will be reviewed by the Train Management, and their decision will be final.

If a refund is applicable, Royal Indian Trains reserves the right to deduct USD 100 per person as bank processing fees.

Refunds will be processed based on the Indian Rupees exchange value received at the time of payment.

Important

• The scheduled train tour departure is subject to a minimum booking of 25 passengers.
• All foreign passport holders must obtain an Indian document before boarding their flight from their country of residence.
• Guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance in their home country prior to departure.
• Any disputes, if arising, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
