Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot (184 Kms approx. 6.5 hours drive)- Night Stay Barkot
Day 3: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot 6 ksm Trek and 36kms drive each side - Night Stay Barkot

Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot (184 Kms approx. 6.5 hours drive)
Breakfast Check out and drive Haridwar to Barkot Arrive in barkot check in hotel dinner overnight stay.
Day 3: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot 6 ksm Trek and 36kms drive each side
Morning breakfast drive to Hanuman Chatti, from here you have to take local jeeps for Janki chatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 8 kms), and start trek from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arr. Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamunabai Kund's warn water and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji" returning to Hanuman chatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 4: Barkot to Gangotri (200 Kms approx 7 Hours drive)
After breakfast drive to Gangotri. Arrival at Gangotri, take a Holy Dip in the sacred Ganges and visit Gangotri Temple, Perform Pooja. Dinner & Night stay is at a hotel in Gangotri.
Day 5: Gangotri to Bhojbasa Trek (14 Trek 3792 mts/12440 ft)
Morning after Breakfast Trek to Bhojbasa. Stay in an Ashram or Tent. Overnight stay is at a hotel in Bhojbasa.
In the morning meet our trekking guide and start your trek towards Bhojwassa via Chirbasa (3600mt). From Gangotri we move along the beaten track towards Chirbasa, which is on a tree line. The entire trek today is along the roaring Bhagirathi River. Beyond Chirbasa the terrain becomes really desolate and barren. In fact, it has been referred to as Arctic Tundra by many trekkers. From Chirbasa we trek further to Bhojwassa, the entire trail passes through dense forest
Day 6: Bhojbasa to Gaumukh Trek (4.5kms oneside 3890 mts/12760 ft) Back Bhojbasa
Early in the Morning enjoy the panoramic view of Bhagirathi group of peaks. After breakfast, trek to Gomukh (3890mt), the source of the Ganges. Gomukh is where the water of Ganga trickles down from the glaciers. The sages called it 'Gomukh', because in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow's mouth. Explore the area and trek back to Bhojbasa for overnight stay.
Gomukh : The Gomukh glacier is the source of Bhagirathi (Ganges) and is held in high esteem by the devotees that do not miss the opportunity to have a holy dip in the bone chilling icy water.
Day 7: Bhojbasa - Gangotri (14kms Trek 4-5 hrs) - Uttarkashi (95 kms/3-4 hrs)
Morning after Breakfast get ready for trek down to Gangotri and from here drive to Uttarkashi. Arrive in Uttarkashi and checked into the hotel. In the evening, visit Lord Vishwanath temple at Uttarkashi. Dinner & Overnight stay is at a hotel in Uttarkashi.
Day 8: Uttarkashi to Haridwar (500kms approx)
After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival at haridwar and onward to Delhi

Railhead: Dehradun or Haridwar.

Can I travel solo?
Yes, but for Gaumukh trek, traveling in a group or with a guide is recommended for safety.
Is altitude sickness an issue?
