Best Time & 2025 Dates

• Ideal trekking months: July to September – weather is clear, though early monsoon (July) can bring landslides

• Organized yatra packages typically run from late July to late August 2025, e.g. July 31–August 5, 4–9, 11–16, etc.

How to Reach Tangling (Base Camp)

• From Chandigarh: Road journey (~320 km, 10–12 hrs) via Shimla → Reckong Peo → Tangling by bus or taxi 

• Railway access: Chandigarh/Kalka → Toy‐train to Shimla → onward by road 

• By air: Nearest airport – Chandigarh; no civilian service at Shimla’s Jubbarhatti

• Many tour operators include yatra registration and guides in packages

Difficulty & Fitness Requirements

• Rated moderate-to-difficult, with steep climbs and possible altitude issues 

• Good cardio fitness & prior trekking experience recommended; 1–2 months of pre‑trek conditioning advised

Essential Gear & Packing List

• Clothing: Thermals, fleece/jacket, rain jacket/poncho, gloves, wool cap, sturdy trekking boots 

• Gear: Trekking poles, headlamp, sunglasses, sunscreen, powerbank, hydration system 

• Supplies: High‑energy snacks, ORS, toilet paper, toiletries

Cultural Etiquette

• Kinner Kailash Shivling is sacred—no climbing or touching the pillar 

• Dress modestly, respect local Kinnauri customs, avoid littering

• After booking confirmation: 5% of the total tour cost
• 45-30 Days before the tour: 15% of the total tour cost
• 29-14 Days before the tour: 30% of the total tour cost
• 13-09 Days before the tour: 50% of the total tour cost
• 08-04 Days before the tour: 80% of the total tour cost
• 03-00 Days before the tour: 100% of the total tour cost

Child Policy

• Child Below 5 Years. Complimentary.
• Child 5 -12 Years. with and Without Extra Bed will be chargeable.
• Child 12-18 Years. Will Be Considered As An Adult With Extra Bed.​

Cancellation Policy

• 45 days or more prior to the departure Rs.10000
• 45-30 days prior to the departure 35% of the tour cost
• 30-15 days prior to the departure 50% of the tour cost
• Within 5 Days of Departure 100% of the Tour Cost

Flights/ Helicopter Services/ Cruise bookings are calculated on special fares, hence are non refundable
