How long does the trek take?
The trek to the top of Sammed Shikharji and back takes approximately 8-10 hours. It's about 18 km one way. This duration depends on your walking speed and how much time you spend at each Tonk (shrine).
What is the level of difficulty of the trek?
The trek is moderately challenging due to the distance and the hilly terrain. There are some steep sections, so it is advisable to be in reasonable physical condition before undertaking the yatra. Pilgrims can opt for dolis if they cannot walk the full distance.

Yes, Dharamshalas (pilgrim rest houses) in Madhuban and near the top provide basic vegetarian meals and clean accommodations. It is recommended to book in advance during peak seasons. The meals are simple, following Jain dietary guidelines.
