Train Tour Cost Includes

• Overnight travel onboard train in the comfort of richly furnished private A/C sleeping chambers with ensuite bathrooms.

• Entrance fees For monuments & jungle reserves.
• Deluxe Cabin Guests: City sightseeing tours are conducted in air-conditioned buses with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).
• Presidential Suite Guests: City sightseeing tours are arranged in private air-conditioned cars with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).

Exclusions (Extra costs not included in train tour tariff)

• Govt. taxes & insurance.
• Optional use of spa facility or laundry services.
• Gratuities – Tips or porter fee.
• Video & professional still camera fees.
• Any activity mentioned as optional in the tour journey.
• Air tickets.
• Travel/Tour insurance.
• Transfer to & from the railway station on start & end of itinerary.

Booking Terms & Conditions

• The booking will be confirmed on the receipt of 25% advance deposit of published ticket value
• Balance 80% payment must reach us at least 50 days before the departure date with the reservation form.
• In case booking request is made less than 50 days of the departure date, we will require a one-time full advance deposit to confirm booking.
• Prices are subject to vary in the event that the itinerary is altered or if there are additional costs, such as fuel or taxes.
• Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is Jointly OPERATED by Tourism Department of Maharashtra State Govt & The Royal Journeys (A unit of Ebix Cash)
• Liability of Royal Indian Trains is limited to that of booking agent only.

Cancellation Rules

• The Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is operated through a joint collaboration between the Tourism Department of Maharashtra Government and Ebix Cash (Private Tour Operator).
• Royal Indian Trains acts solely as a booking agent and holds no operational liability.
• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by us.

Cancellation Fees

• More than 63 days before departure: 10% of the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes).
• 62 to 48 days before departure: 20% of the published ticket value.
• 47 to 33 days before departure: 50% of the published ticket value.
• Less than 33 days before departure: 100% of the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes).

Special Cancellation & Refund Conditions

• If the the Train Tour Operator cancels the scheduled departure for any reason, afull refundwill be provided
• No refund will be issued if:
  • The guest fails to follow the scheduled itinerary or shortens their journey.
  • The guest is unable to obtain an Indian visa.
• In case of a medical emergency, supporting medical records will be reviewed by the Train Management, and their decision will be final.
• If a refund is applicable, Royal Indian Trains reserves the right to deduct USD 100 per person as bank processing fees.
• Refunds will be processed based on the Indian Rupees exchange value received at the time of payment.

Important

• The scheduled train tour departure is subject to a minimum booking of 25 passengers.
• All foreign passport holders must obtain an Indian visa before boarding their flight from their country of residence.
• Guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance in their home country prior to departure.
• Any disputes, if arising, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday – Depart from New Delhi

Assemble at Safdarjung Railway Station (Chanakyapuri) by 5:30 PM for a traditional welcome and check-in.

Board your luxurious Deccan Odyssey cabin.

The train departs for Agra.

Dinner on board.

Day 2: Sunday – Agra

Visit the Taj Mahal, a timeless symbol of love.

Explore Agra Fort, showcasing Mughal architecture and royal chambers.

Browse local markets for Pietra Dura inlay artifacts and Mughal-style jewelry.

Lunch at a city hotel.

Return to Deccan Odyssey as it departs for Sawai Madhopur.

Dinner on board.

Day 3: Monday – Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

Early morning jungle safari in Ranthambhore National Park to spot tigers and other wildlife.

Return to the train for late breakfast.

Day at leisure – enjoy spa services, watch a movie, or learn Indian games on board.

Train departs for Udaipur.

Lunch and dinner on board.

Day 4: Tuesday – Udaipur

Visit the City Palace and Crystal Gallery.

Take a ferry ride on Lake Pichola around the iconic Lake Palace.

Lunch at an exclusive venue.

Explore local markets with vibrant handicrafts and folk art.

Return to the train as it departs for Jodhpur.

Day 5: Wednesday – Jodhpur

Day 6 : Thursday – Jaisalmer

Visit the Thar Desert for a magical sunset over the sand dunes.

Return to the train at Jaisalmer.

Dinner on board as train departs for Jaipur.

Day 7: Friday – Jaipur

Lunch at a city hotel.

Explore the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and vibrant local bazaars.

Day 8: Saturday – Return to New Delhi

Arrive at Safdarjung Railway Station by 7:15 AM.

Early breakfast on board.

Bid farewell to the Deccan Odyssey as your royal rail journey concludes.
