NEW DELHI / KATHMANDU — 26 August 2026 — Following severe flash floods across various regions of Nepal, the Board of Directors of NTP Tourism Affairs Ltd. has officially passed a resolution confirming the absolute safety of all its en-route pilgrims and announcing immediate on-ground relief operations.
NTP Tourism Affairs Ltd. assures all guardians, families, and stakeholders in India and abroad that its current Kailash Mansarovar Yatra group—operating via the Nepalganj–Simikot–Hilsa route—has successfully and safely traveled to and from the holy site. All transit operations for this group have been completed securely, and all patrons are safe.
In response to the broader crisis affecting the travel community and local residents, NTP Tourism Affairs Ltd. has mobilized an immediate emergency relief initiative. A dedicated team, led directly by the company’s Director and experienced caretakers, is rushing to the flood-affected zones. The team will provide critical logistical support, resources, and coordination aid to various active rescue teams on the ground.
"We are deeply distressed by the losses suffered by fellow agents and pilgrim caretakers in the region," the Board of Directors stated in the resolution. "NTP is fully committed to the safety of our guests and stands ready to extend our resources to aid the ongoing rescue and recovery efforts."
Emergency communication lines at NTP offices across both India and Nepal have been opened continuously to provide real-time welfare checks and support to anxious families.
