Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Patna / Gaya / Deogar - Rajgir

  • Arrive Patna/ Gaya / Deogarh airport / Railway Station
  • Welcome to NTP "Sammed Shikharji Tour".
  • On arrival, NTP representative will meet & greet you & then transfer you to you hotel in Rajgir.
  • (0600 Hrs.) (Breakfast)
  • (0700 Hrs.) Leave for the Pancha (or Panch) Pahar Yatra in Rajgir. It is a pilgrimage or trek to the five hills surrounding the city of Rajgir, which are Ratnagiri, Vipulachal, Vaibharagiri, Songiri, and Udaygiri.It's a significant spiritual and historical journey for for Jains, as Lord Mahavira is said to have spent time in these hills.
  • (Tonga Ride / Rope way on Extra cost).
  • Later, visit Veerayatan Jain Museum: The highlights of the museum are the beautiful, colourful panels made out of natural material such as dry leaves, twigs, bamboo stems, rocks and recycled products such as fabric, broken jewellery, broken pottery etc. Pujya Tai Ma puts these items together to create miniatures that fit perfectly within the panels making it look appealing and very life like!
  • Also Visit the Japanese Temple. It is a major attraction which tourists visit in large numbers. Since Rajgir is a scenic spot surrounded by rocky hills, people get charmed by its beauty. This is a big temple with a statue of Gautama Buddha in white colour. It is placed in the main entrance of the temple. You get to see a lush green garden around the temple which is maintained well.You can also see a pillar inside the main gate of this temple. Devotees sit inside the temple as it is a very peaceful and calm place.

Day 02: Rajgir - Lachhuar - Kshatriyakund - Guniyajee - Rajgir

  • (0500 Hrs.) Early morning proceed to Lachhuar Shwetambar Jain Temple.
  • (0700 Hrs.) (Breakfast.)
  • (0800 Hrs.) Leave for Kshatriyakund, also known as Lachwad, is a significant Jain pilgrimage site where Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara, is believed to have been born. It's also the location where three of his Kalyanaks (auspicious events in a Tirthankara's life) are believed to have occurred: Chyavan, Janma, and Diksha.
  • 1400 Hrs (Lunch)
  • After lunch leave for Rajgir. Enroute visit Guniyaji Jal Mandir.
  • The temple is dedicated to Ganadhar Goutam Swami located in the small town of Gunayaji. It is believed that this place was visited many times by Lord Mahavira to preach his doctrines of non-violence.
  • (1700 Hrs) (Dinner)
  • Overnight: Veerayatan/Nalanda or Similar

Day 03: Rajgir – Pavapuri – Nalanda – Kundalpur - Rajgir

  • 0800 Hrs. (Breakfast)
  • 0900 Hrs : Leave for Pavapuri
  • 1100 Hrs : Visit Pavapuri.
  • The Jal Mandir or Water Temple (also known as Apapapuri which means a town without sins). It is dedicated to Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara, which marks the place of his cremation. Mahavira attained Nirvana (death) in Pawapuri in 527 BC. The temple was originally built by King Nandivardhan, elder brother of Mahavira, within the pond which is filled with red coloured lotus flowers. It is one of the five main temples in Pawpuri, where the "Charan Paduka" or foot impression of Mahavira is deified.
  • (1400 Hrs.) (Lunch)
  • (1500 Hrs). Leave for Kundalpur Jain Temple.
  • The Digambar sect of Jains believes that the 24th and the last Tirthankar, Lord Mahavir, was born here.
  • Just 1.6 km from the ruins of Nalanda is this place called Kundalpur. The Digambar sect of Jains believes that the 24th and the last Tirthankar, Lord Mahavir, was born here. There are many Jain temples in this village.The present temple was however was recently built. The images of 72 Jinas are displayed for offerings in a separate building.
  • Enroute visit Nalanda University.

Day 04 Rajgir – Rajjuwalika - Shikharjee

  • 0700 Hrs. (Breakfast)
  • 0800 Hrs : Leave for Rajjuwalika
  • 1300 Hrs. (Lunch)
  • 1400 Hrs. Visit Rajjuwalika. The present day Barker River was the Rujuvalika River of the ancient times. On the bank of this river under a Shali tree on the tenth day of the bright half of the Vaishakh month, Bhagwan Mahavir attained Kevalgyan. It is said that Bhagwan Mahavir had attained Kevalgyan when he was sitting in "cow-milking" posture.
  • Jain sadhus of the sixteenth, the seventeenth, and the eighteenth Centuries described this tirth in their tirthmalas. Every particle of this place is purified and sanctified by twelve years long severe penance and attainment of omniscience of Bhagwan Mahavir Swami, the twenty- fourth Tirthankara. The grandeur of this place is matchless and beyond description. In temple they have explained various Upsargas of Bhagwan Mahavir’s life in detail.
  • 1600 Hrs. Leave for Shikharjee.
  • 1700 Hrs. Dinner and Retire for the day
  • Overnight: Siddayatan/ Prakash Bhawan or Similar

Day 05: Shikharjee

  • 0400 Hrs. Pahar Yatra
  • Proceed for Pahad Yatra. Take part in Holy Baths, Rituals, Pooja at the Mountain. (Doli and Bikes available on extra cost) (Total trek is of 27Kms)
  • Shri Sammed Shikharji Teerth Kshetra has the top rank among Jain Teerth Kshetras, being the salvation place of 20 Teerthankaras and large number of saints. So this is called Teerthraj (King of Teerths) A touch of this land purifies the human birth. All around here Tonks of Tirthankaras have been built. Images of foot prints of twenty-four Tirthankaras and ten Ganadhars have been installed here. Here is temple of shree Samaliya Parshwanath also called as Jal mandir, shree parashwanath tonk is at the higest peak on the Mountain.
  • 0900 Hrs. (Breakfast on Pahar)
  • 1500 Hrs. Return back to hotel.
  • 1700 Hrs. Dinner and Retire for the day
  • Overnight: Siddayatan/ Prakash Bhawan or Similar

Day 06: Shikharjee Local Temples And Departure Transfer For Train To Ayodhya

  • Morning free at your own pace.
  • 1100 Hrs. Check out.
  • Proceed to Taleti, visit Jahaj Mandir, Kanch Mandir, Museum, 20 Jinalay, Bhaktamar Mandir, New/Old Bhumiyaji Mandir, Samvasharan, Digambar Mandir, Dharam Mangal University (Autos available on Extra Cost).
  • 1400 Hrs. ( Lunch)
  • 1500 Hrs. Transfer to Gaya Railway station to board the train for Ayodhya.
  • Packed dinner will be arranged.
  • 2105 Hrs. Leave for Ayodhya by (Train No. 13151 Koaa Jat Express)
  • Overnight: Train

Day 07: Ayodhya - Varanasi

  • 0620 Hrs. Arrive Ayodhay. On arrival transfer to Dharamshala.
  • 0900 Hrs. After breakfast visit Lord Adinath Temple, Lord Anantnath Temple, Lord Sumantnath Temple, Lord Ajitnath Temple, Lord Abhinandannath Temple by Auto on own costs.
  • Later, after lunch drive to Varanasi by road. Enroute visit Rattanpuri Jain Temple.
  • Optional: Triveni Sangam: Visit the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. You can take a boat ride and enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
  • Arrive in Varanasi, check in at the Dharamshala.
  • Dinner and retire for the day.
  • Overnight: Dharamshala

Day 08: Varanasi Depart

  • Early Monring after breakfast at 0700 Hrs,
  • (0800 Hrs.) Proceed to visit Jain Temple.
  • Varanasi is the birthplace of four Jain Tirthankaras: Parshvanatha, Suparshvanatha, Chandraprabha, and Shreyansanath.
  • Varanasi and Sarnath are both important locations for Jainism, with several temples and pilgrimage sites. Sarnath, near Varanasi, is also a significant Jain pilgrimage center, particularly for the Shri Digamber Jain Temple dedicated to Shreyanshnath.
  • 1400 Hrs. Lunch at Bhojnalaya
  • 1700 hrs Ganga Aarti
  • Ganga Aarti is a Hindu ritual of worship performed every evening on the banks of the River Ganges, particularly in Varanasi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. It's a visually stunning ceremony that involves fire, chanting, and the offering of prayers to the river, which is revered as a goddess. The ritual is a way to express gratitude for the river's life-sustaining properties and to seek blessings.

  • Later, we will transfer you to Railway Station/Airport for onward Journey.
