Deccan Odyssey Tariff

Note:

• 5% GST (taxes) extra.

• Add US$ 625 extra for a Deluxe Cabin with a single large bed.

• Indian Nationals can pay in equivalent INR as per prevailing exchange rate on xe.com on date of payment.

• The Presidential Suite rate remains the same for both single & double occupancy.

• Child policy available on request.

Train Tour Cost Includes

• Overnight travel onboard train in the comfort of richly furnished private A/C sleeping chambers with ensuite bathrooms.

• Daily three meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) with packaged drinking water, tea/coffee service & non-alcoholic beverages.

• Valet service

• Complimentary wi-fi.

• Entrance fees For monuments & jungle reserves.

• Deluxe Cabin Guests: City sightseeing tours are conducted in air-conditioned buses with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).

• Presidential Suite Guests: City sightseeing tours are arranged in private air-conditioned cars with an English-speaking guide (except for shared Canter safaris in the Tiger Reserve).

Exclusions (Extra costs not included in train tour tariff)

• Govt. taxes & insurance.

• Optional use of spa facility or laundry services.

• Gratuities – Tips or porter fee.

• Video & professional still camera fees.

• Any activity mentioned as optional in the tour journey.

• Air tickets.

• Travel/Tour insurance.

• Transfer to & from the railway station on start & end of itinerary.

Booking Terms & Conditions

• The booking will be confirmed on the receipt of 25% advance deposit of published ticket value

• Balance 80% payment must reach us at least 50 days before the departure date with the reservation form.

• In case booking request is made less than 50 days of the departure date, we will require a one-time full advance deposit to confirm booking.

• Prices are subject to vary in the event that the itinerary is altered or if there are additional costs, such as fuel or taxes.

• Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is Jointly OPERATED by Tourism Department of Maharashtra State Govt & The Royal Journeys (A unit of Ebix Cash)

• Liability of Royal Indian Trains is limited to that of booking agent only.

Booking Procedure

• Check Availability:Provide the date of journey and cabin type required.

• Booking Process: Submit passport copies of all passengers.

• Payment Terms:

  • ⁃ A 30% advance deposit of the published ticket price is required to confirm the booking.

  • ⁃ Payment can be made via SWIFT wire transfer or credit card / debit card.

  • ⁃ The balance paymen must reach us at leas 70 days before departure date.

  • ⁃ For bookings made less than 70 days before departure date, one-time full deposit is required at the time of booking.

Cancellation Rules

• The Deccan Odyssey Train Tour is operated through a joint collaboration between the Tourism Department of Maharashtra Government and Ebix Cash (Private Tour Operator).

• Royal Indian Trains acts solely as a booking agent and holds no operational liability.

• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by us.

Cancellation Fees

• More than 63 days before departure: 15% of the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes).

• 62 to 48 days before departure: 25% of the published ticket value.

• 47 to 33 days before departure: 55% of the published ticket value.

• Less than 33 daysbefore departure: 100% of the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes).

Special Cancellation & Refund Conditions

• If the Train Tour Operator cancels the scheduled departure for any reason, a full refund will be provided.

• No refund will be issued if:

  • ⁃ The guest fails to follow the scheduled itinerary or shortens their journey.

  • ⁃ The guest is unable to obtain an Indian Document.

• In case of a medical emergency, supporting medical records will be reviewed by the Train Management, and their decision will be final.

• If a refund is applicable, Royal Indian Trains reserves the right to deduct USD 100 per person as bank processing fees.

• Refunds will be processed based on the Indian Rupees exchange value received at the time of payment.

Important

• The scheduled train tour departure is subject to a minimum booking of 25 passengers.

• All foreign passport holders must obtain an Indian Document before boarding their flight from their country of residence.

• Guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance in their home country prior to departure.

• Any disputes, if arising, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in NCR Delhi (Gurgaon), India.

Inclusion & Exclusion

Deccan Odyssey Schedule

The Deccan Odyssey luxury train typically runs from September to May each year.
Departures are available till May 2027.

Note :-

• Please contact us to confirm availability of cabins on your preferred departure dates.

• Train operator (Ebix Cash) of Deccan Odyssey Train reserves the right to cancel scheduled departure, either due to low occupancy or other reasons. In that unlikely scenario, client will be informed 30 days before the scheduled depart date.
